Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19th January 19, 2008) was an American theatre, film television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre. She was a part of films in late 1950s. Then, she became an actor with a lot of recognition in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she appeared in numerous television shows and was frequently as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January 1937. The parents of her were Jewish and were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
