Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She also has produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Her early years were lived in Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. Her mom was obsessed with films and instilled a love of films into the young girl. Paula took part in the co-curricular activities at school and enjoyed drama. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends and was a part of school stage performances. After performing in a variety of shows at her high school, Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her profession. In a summer program at the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. She was assigned a 3 month task to produce documentary films for PBS. She started her career as a television production assistant when she completed this assignment. Her next step was to start producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable but was determined to become an actor. in the film romantic comedy Hitch she played a small role alongside Will Smith. In the years since, she's appeared in many popular movies as well as TV programs.
